Since the official release of Backend.AI 22.09 in September, additional feature improvements and bug fixes have been updated.

In particular, this update includes:

• Simplified distributed processing of large language models.
• More detailed folder permissions can be set on a storage volume basis.
• Support for GPUDirect Storage, a high-speed GPU-storage I/O feature, in a container-based cluster environment, which is the world's first!

This is a 6-month integrated update release, and major bug fixes and essential improvements will also be reflected in Backend.AI 22.03/Enterprise R2. Backend.AI 21.09 and earlier versions will no longer receive updates unless emergency security patches are required for currently active users.
